DAVE DOLENGEWICZ

The Brain behind the operation, Dave writes tunes, plays saxophone and dreams of crazy new musical directions for the band to explore.  His playing is infused with the swing and grit of tenorists past as well as an ear for the freer harmonies of the future.  Dave enjoys pretending he can sing, long walks of deep thought,  drinking the right tea for his mood, and entertaining the idea of a career in stand up comedy.  Also a member of the Jazz Police big band, Dave is known to occasionally Honka ‘Da Bari!

LAUREN HENDRIX

The Beauty in the band, Lauren (aka Low Tones) provides the trio with a woman’s touch, something frequently lacking in other male dominated jazz ensembles.  As an upright player, Lauren is on equally solid ground playing in a jazz or classical style.  A fan of bluegrass as well, Lauren lends her bow to some of the band’s tunes.  As an electric player, Lauren  really lays down a great feeling groove.

BEN MORROW

The Brawn driving the band, Ben’s drumming is not to be trifled with.  Ben’s strong time feel and relaxed approach brings a sense of swing and groove to the music that makes the audience bob their heads and get into it. Ben also busts out some bitchen’ percussion sounds and incredibly melodic solos.  A native Idahoan, Ben enjoys hiking around the North Western wilderness and wrestling with the various wildlife he encounters.
