Saturday September 24th at Egan’s, 7PM

It’s been just about a year since the release of our debut live album Frameworks and I can’t help myself from thinking “If only we’d recorded it now.” In even the last year alone, we have all grown immensely as individual musicians and as a cohesive ensemble. But don’t take my word for it! Come to Egan’s on Saturday evening and hear for yourself!

Thanks for stopping by our site!  We’ve been working hard the last couple of months preparing the release of our first real album Frameworks, and are proud to announce that it is ready to go!  You can order a physical copy from CDBaby or stream the entire album and download it from our Bandcamp site.  So please, since you’re here, why not take a moment to treat your ears to a little DDT.  I promise it won’t hurt, uh, unless you have the volume on your earphones cranked all the way up…

CD Release Party At Lucid!!

On September 12, 2010 · 0 Comments

Album CoverSeptember 25th is the deadline date!  We’ve been working hard and fast to get all of the nitty gritty details involved in releasing an album taken care of, and I’m happy to report that it’s almost done!  Our debut album “Frameworks” is  comprised of eight original songs recorded during our July 17th show at Lucid including two works revolving around the slam poetry of Steven Wilbur.  When all is said and done, I’ll get the CD up on CDBaby, iTunes, and of course our bandcamp site, but for now the easiest and undeniably most fun way to get your hands on a physical copy of this CD, and check out all of the beautiful art/design work Dillon Mariani spend hours perfecting and re-perfecting, is to simply save the date for the release party.

Still not convinced?  Ok, you twisted my arm.  Here’s a little taste!

DDT CD Quest! – Live at Lucid July 17th 9:30pm

On July 7, 2010 · 0 Comments

Our Cartoon Selves in an alien landscape

It’s CD time baby, or CD Baby time…baby.  Come experience the process as the incredibly talented Dave Dolengewicz Trio embarks on it’s most ambitious project to date, the quest to release a CD.

We’ll be performing a long night of our unique brand of original chamber jazz and rock influenced original songs in front of a live club audience at LUCID.  We’ll also be featuring slam poet Steven Wilbur on some genre bending pieces, and as always we’ll be striving for a high level of musical communication and energy.  Unlike always we’ll be professionally recording the whole ordeal and releasing the best parts as a CD (did I mention that yet?)

The best part is that YOU get to be on the CD too!  You can sneeze during a bass solo, play your favorite cell phone ring for future generations to hear, clap inappropriately during a ballad or even BREAK A GLASS during a drum break!  The noise you create will be recorded and mixed down to the best of our engineer’s ability, but NOT COMPLETELY ELIMINATED from the overall audio footprint!  So, come on down, order a beer, place the glass near the edge of your table, stand up to take off your large jacket…and see what happens.
